Job Description – Technical Sales Advisor

Overview
Main activities are to support clients with technical quotations. Will be
required to have hands-on approach to other company projects. The Technical
Sales Advisor will report to the Commercial Director.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide technical quotations against customers’ requirements.
- Follow up quotations with clients
- Calculate costs and quotations for in-house manufacture
- Calculate costs and quotations for overhauls
- Calculate costs and quotations for service jobs.
- Monitor actual costs verses quoted prices for jobs with manufacturing or labour.
- Develop system to standardise technical quotations Maintain updated information
on current company software
- Contribute at weekly sales and marketing meetings
- Continuously develop through learnings and training.
- Work in an organised way.
- All work must be carried out within our health & safety procedures.
- All activities to comply with Contract of Employment, unless agreed in writing.
KPIs
- Response time to clients
- Conversion rate maintaining GP%
- Accuracy of quotations against actual costs
Requirements
- Computer literate.
- Knowledge of diesel engines and equipment.
- Experience dealing with clients in shipping, energy, traction or
industrial sectors, an advantage
- Fully competent with main Microsoft packages.
- Energetic and motivated
- Organised with high attention to detail.
- Focused on customer service
