The core of Bartech Marine has been in supporting clients with their medium speed diesel engines.  We can support you with spares, fault finding, overhauls, service exchange assemblies or complete engines as well as consultancy and project services to match your exact requirements.  We have excellent, modern facilities supported by fully maintained and calibrated equipment so our overhauls will be completed to the highest standards complete with our guarantee and in line with the procedures set out as part of our ISO9001 accreditation.

All overhauls follow a standard procedure:

• Dismantle
• Chemical clean
• Paint removal
• Inspection and measurement
• Create a report and list of required spares and recommendations
• Rebuild and test to the highest possible standard – subject to your approval.
• Commission with relevant measurement and test sheets

The high levels of mechanical excellence extends beyond the engineering, as this same philosophy is used in the planning and organisation stage with the use of Gantt charts and Action Plans to ensure all areas are considered and dealt with.  We pride ourselves on our on-time delivery so, like you, we do not want any unforeseen surprises!

Once complete, the order is packaged with consideration to the final destination, plus how long it may be in storage as well as the shipping method.  All this ensures you get the equipment in the same condition as it left our works.

With contracts in place with all the major worldwide couriers, the use of specialist air and sea freight forwarders as well as couriers available 24 hours a day and there is an option to suit every requirement.

Bartech Marine was founded on supporting Paxman and other UK engines including Ruston, Mirrlees and Dorman, of which we have years of technical experience, supported by manuals, technical information and over 25,000 different stock items available from our stores.

At the request of clients we have expanded our support to most engine ranges including Caterpillar, MAK, MTU, Cummins, Perkins, Fiat, Deutz, Waukesha and Wartsila. We have a passion for engineering and are keen to extend our current knowledge to different ranges.

For the older engines that are poorly supported by the OEMs we are able to provide the support you need including manufacturing some rare items ourselves.  The in-house controls and abilities have been recognised by OEMs as we have manufactured and supplied items to them direct.  We also have an approved supply chain, including companies that make spares for the engine manufacturers, so you can have peace of mind on the quality of spares supplied.

The computer controlled spares ensure that over 25,000 stock items are readily available to you, from small consumable items, to ready to despatch new and reconditioned assembled units.
